GBWD Episode 8: Brennan Saulnier The trials and tribulations of a small town hockey player to budding NHL player

According to the Book Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, Brennan Saulnier was born with the wrong birthday and from the wrong part of Canada.

He was cut from his major midget hockey team because he was too small and was forced to simply play high school hockey.

He traveled from tiny Halifax Nova Scotia across Canada to play for the Fort McMurray Oil Barons of Alberta down to the hockey capital of the south at the University of Alabama at Huntsville.

After graduating hockey he took a trip across the pond to play in Sweden, and now he is in the AHL knocking on the door (of the NHL)*!

Brennan’s never give up attitude is contagious; learn how he took control of his destiny, and has shown the willingness to due whatever it takes on the ice to make his dream a reality.

*Brennan currently plays hockey for the Philadelphia Flyers AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
