Happy Fall,
I know it has been a while since you last heard from us!!! I apologize for that but hope you have been following us on our social media to keep up with some the things happening at AIDPPT! I have been traveling around the country, supporting Eden and her club soccer team TSJ FCVirginia, providing sports therapy services to the entire club. Eden’s team won the Girls Academy League U15 National Championship in St. Louis, MO. It was an incredible journey from being down and out of soccer, after tearing her ACL (knee ligament) 2 years ago, all the way to scoring a goal in the playoffs.
In case you have not been following us…we have hired two fresh staff members joining Sarah, Melissa, Noah, Rodrigo and of course Eden. It is incredible! Noah has been with us a year and is in the process of getting certified in dry needling! Sarah has been busy traveling to Germany with her husband and she recently got an adorable new puppy! Rodrigo graduated from George Mason University and is currently applying to physical therapy! Melissa is now working remotely 3 days a week trying to keep up with her twins Amare and Arianna as well as your favorite pup Princey.
Lisa is super busy with her massage and esthetics business, Infinity Relaxation, located inside AIDPPT but is still helping us periodically. To book an appointment

In case you are not aware we also have a wellness coach Kelly Melka whose business is also located inside the office. Kelly is amazing! She is a medium, a spiritual teacher, and healer. For more information check out her IG page @kellymelkawellness or email her at info@kellymelka.com.
Please stop by and introduce yourself to the newest members of our team; Danielle Oakley, office manager and Natasha Centeno, receptionist!

Recipe of the Month
Pasta with Peas and Prosciutto
“This is an easy pasta dish to whip up when short on time”
Ingredients:
- 1 box (1 pound) Cavatappi or other spiral pasta 1½ cups fresh spring peas
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil 2 cloves garlic,
- Minced ½ teaspoon ground black pepper, or more to taste
- ½ cup grated pecorino or Parmesan cheese Juice of ½ lemon
- 4 ounces (about 8 thin slices) prosciutto, torn into bite-size pieces
Instructions:
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. When it boils, salt it and add the pasta. Cook
according to the package directions. Two minutes before the pasta is cooked, add the peas.
Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, until slightly browned.
Reserving ¼ cup pasta cooking water, drain the pasta and peas in a colander. Add the peas, pasta, and reserved cooking water to the skillet, toss, and heat through, about 1 minute. Add the pepper, cheese, and lemon juice and toss to combine.
Serve the pasta in shallow bowls and place the prosciutto over top, letting the heat from the pasta warm the meat. Sauteed onions add a note of sweetness to this
classic Italian dish, while peas provide a pop of nutrients and color! Serves 6.
